CatDog Walls’ Kathy Brennan has spent the last 40+ years in the trades, dividing her time between the vibrant cityscape of Brooklyn, NY, and the artistic heart of Santa Fe, NM.

Her New York days were spent plastering and painting historic brownstones, where she learned the importance of thorough prep work to ensure lasting results. Moving to Santa Fe, Kathy found herself drawn to various wall finishes like clay and lime paint and developed a deep passion for modern interiors.

  • American Clay: This is a veneer clay plaster, carefully applied by hand trowel. Available in a variety of finishes, this versatile material adds texture and depth to any room.
  • Clay Paint: This technique involves troweling clay paint onto the surface to eliminate roller marks, resulting in a smooth, modern finish. Ideal for transforming diamond finish or Structo-Lite surfaces, it allows you to change the color while preserving the integrity of your plastered walls. A low-sheen topcoat is applied for added protection, enhancing both depth and shimmer.
  • Brushed Finish: A timeless finish, perfect for smaller spaces, offering a soft, traditional texture that enhances the character of any room.
